Funds from this year’s Grand Cayman race also benefitted the John Gray High School Music Department.  Much to the delight of participants, students from John Gray, performed live beachside following the event.

The 12th Annual event was made possibly thanks to the numerous contributors including Staff, Race Caribbean, CaymanActive.com and  volunteers including RCIPS, Red Cross, Leos, Lions, along with the generous support of the corporate community, with Yello, Cayman National, Reflections, Roma United S.C., Seaboard Marine, Fine Print, Green Machine, and Fosters.

Yello, Marketing Manager, Melanie Shambaugh stated afterwards “Thank you to the community for joining us all on Saturday at Smith Barcadere to raise money for John Gray High School and NCVO.  What an amazing surprise participants received upon returning to the beautiful beach side finish line. The very talented John Gray High School Band! Our Yello team loved seeing everyone of all ages, as young as ten, come out and support.  We look forward to supporting and participating on the sister island, Cayman Brac, Saturday, November 24th.”

In the community spirit surrounding the Breeze Fusion 5K Walk/Run, a number of MLAs pledged their support of students from their respective district schools, including the Hon. Moses Kirkconnell, Mr. Ezzard Miller, Mr. Alva Suckoo and Mr. Kenneth Bryan.
