Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (17 December, 2016) Passengers travelling through the Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) were in for a holiday treat on Saturday, 17 December as the Cayman Islands Airports Authority's (CIAA) mascot, "Calypso" flew in for a special visit. In addition to passing out small holiday gift bags and keychains, "Calypso" also welcomed passengers and posed for pictures.

Steel pan players were also outside of the airport Arrivals Hall along with a snow cone machine to help put a smile on the faces of travelers. Earlier in the week, the Airports Authority also welcomed Santa Claus in an effort to spread holiday cheer throughout the busy terminal.

The celebrations will continue over the next week with several more special events organized by the CIAA's Customer Service team.
