During a predawn operation in the Hutland area in North Side officers of the RCIPS recovered a large quantity of ganja from a shed.  However, two males managed to elude capture.

The RCIPS mounted  an operation in North Side early this morning involving firearms officers, K-9, officers from the Drugs and Serious Crimes Task Force and the Police helicopter.  During the operation,  the two males believed to be Jamaican nationals were able to avoid capture.   One is described as being of dark complexion, slim build with dreadlocks and wearing  yellow shirt. The second male is described as dark complexion, about 5' 10" tall and wearing dark clothing

The RCIPS is maintaining a high police presence including armed officers in the area and are asking the North Side community to contact 911 immediately if they have any sightings of these individuals.  We would also like to remind the public that is a serious criminal offence to provide assistance or support for these individuals.
