The Cayman National Cultural Foundation is proud to present Echoes of the Past as part of our Black History Month presentation. Directed by Lesley-Ann Bernard-Ricketts, Echoes of the Past is a carefully curated collection of monologues, duologues, movement, and music that highlights and interrogates the remnants of traumas caused by slavery and colonialism in the Cayman Islands and the diaspora. The show will take the format of a performance followed by a Q&A that allows for audience interaction to unpack and discuss all the themes explored and how they relate primarily to the Caymanian society and by extension, the global community. The show will take place at our Studio Theatre on 24 and 25 February, at 7pm and 6pm, respectively. Doors open an hour before, and refreshments will be on sale. Tickets are 18+ and cost $20 - you can purchase them at the door, via ticketsplus.ky, or from our offices next week between 9am-4:30pm.
