The Elections Office wishes to remind the public that the Elections Act does not allow for persons to be disqualified (removed from the register of electors) unless one or more of the following criteria is met:
The list of electors is kept in accordance with Cayman Islands Data Protection Act, and the Elections Office is legally mandated to maintain the register of electors. The Office is also mandated to provide the list of electors to the Judicial Administration, as per the Judicature Act (2021 Revision), so that jurists can be selected as needed.
