The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) is inviting interested residents to collect “free mulch” at the George Town Cricket Field from Friday 2, 2024 until it lasts.This year, approximately 410 natural Christmas trees were dropped off and shredded into 25 yards of mulch which is now available to the public as part of the DEH Annual Natural Christmas Tree Recycling Programme. Residents are invited to come out and to bring their shovels and bags for the removal of the mulch. Once again, the material will be supplied on a first come, first served basis.
