National Health Survey “STEPS 2023”

The Ministry of Health and Wellness would like to announce the start of a series of community meetings aimed at engaging and informing Cayman residents on the upcoming National Health Survey “STEPS 2023”. STEPS is a standardised tool used to determine the prevalence of and risk factors for non-communicable diseases here in the Cayman Islands, and the survey will be undertaken by the Ministry of Health and Wellness, in partnership with the Economics and Statistics Office (ESO) and the Health Services Authority (HSA), starting on June 5^th 2023. The first STEPS community meeting will take place in East End, at the East End Civic Centre on Thursday, 30 March 2023, from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Chief Medical Officer, Dr Nick Gent, and National Epidemiologist, Rachel Corbett, will be presenting on the survey and answering questions from attendees.  All residents are encouraged to attend.
