Join the Cayman Islands Astronomical Society for an evening of stargazing at Pedro St. James on Monday, 21 December 2020 from 6:30pm.
The two giant planets and their moons will appear right next to each other in the Western sky after sunset. They've not appeared so close together for centuries, so this is really special. You'll easily see both through the telescope at the same time!
In addition to this spectacle, the Moon and Mars will all be on show as well as the Andromeda galaxy and the beautiful Pleiades cluster of stars.
All are welcome, and the evening coincides with a special opening of the bar and restaurant on site, The Outpost, so there should be a great evening in store. As always, all are welcome and the event is totally free. We will of course be adhering to all of the relevant government safety guidelines.
