Join the Cayman Islands Astronomical Society for a evening of stargazing from 7:30pm to 8:30pm on Saturday the 22nd of April at the Spotts cruise terminal on Shamrock Road. We will have wonderful views of the thin crescent moon and the amazing seven sisters asterism. We will also watch the Southern Cross constellation rise. The planets Venus and Mars will be visible as well as a whole host of amazing stellar objects. As a bonus, this evening marks the peak of the Lyrids meteor storm - so it's possible we'll catch some shooting stars! All are welcome and the event is totally free. The event will be cancelled if there is more than 50% cloud cover, so check the facebook event page and website at cias.space for the latest updates.
