The Trade and Business Licensing Board advises the public that it will be temporarily suspending expedited service for the processing of exempt company applications, effective April 1. Applications for exempt companies will now be reviewed and processed within 2 to 4 weeks of receipt. Customers have until Wednesday, March 31, 2021, to submit applications to have exempt applications expedited. This service is being suspended temporarily as the Board is currently unable to timely review the increase in expedited exempt company applications. Express applications for ordinary companies applying for a new licence or renewing an existing licence will continue to be accepted and processed. These applications can be submitted online via the Department of Commerce and Investment website www.dci.gov.ky or at the business licensing counter located at the Government Administration building.
