The Water Authority is conducting its usual seasonal readiness activities, which focus on protecting its critical assets, such as stored water, pumps, and pipelines, which are all necessary to ensure access to safe drinking water after a storm. Depending on weather conditions, the Authority may need to proactively turn off the water supply before a storm to ensure sufficient water is available after it passes. This is why it is critical that customers store water before a storm approaches. Ensure you have an emergency 3-day supply of drinking water for every member of your household – that is, 1 gallon per person per day.
