Cayman First Insurance Company Limited (“Cayman First”) continued its investment in the Cayman Islands community during the second quarter of 2026 through a range of charitable initiatives, sponsorships, and partnerships focused on improving health and well-being, empowering young people, and supporting organisations making a meaningful difference.
“At Cayman First, protecting what matters most goes beyond the insurance cover we provide,” said Natasha Pettier, Chief Executive Officer of Cayman First. “We're proud to support initiatives that improve quality of life, create opportunities for young people, and strengthen the well-being of the communities we serve. These partnerships reflect the values of our people and our belief that lasting impact is achieved by working together.”
Promoting healthier communities remained a key focus throughout the quarter. Cayman First partnered with Aon to host a wellness fair for Cayman Turtle Centre employees, bringing together the Health Services Authority, Cayman Physio, Oasis Medical Group, and The Wellness Centre to provide complimentary health screenings and wellness resources.
The company also welcomed customers and residents to its Savannah branch for a Customer Appreciation Day, offering complimentary health screenings, refreshments, giveaways, and family-friendly activities while connecting directly with the people it serves.
Encouraging active lifestyles also remained a priority, with Cayman First proudly serving as a Court Sponsor of the Brava Corporate Pickleball Classic, supporting an event that celebrated health, teamwork, and community connection.
The quarter also marked the successful conclusion of Cayman First's five-year partnership with the YMCA of the Cayman Islands Youth Baseball & Softball Programme. Since 2021, the company has invested CI$75,000 in the programme, helping hundreds of young athletes develop confidence, discipline, teamwork, and resilience through sport. The milestone was celebrated with a community activation at the Field of Dreams and the presentation of the final CI$15,000 sponsorship instalment.
“Our partnership with the YMCA reflects the kind of long-term investment we believe creates lasting value,” Pettier said. “It has been incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact the programme has had on so many young people and their families, and we're proud to have played a role in its continued success.”
Financial support to other local charities also continued through Cayman First’s long-standing Charities of First initiative, which enables employees to donate a portion of their salary to local causes each month, with the company matching every contribution.
During the quarter, employee donations supported the Cayman Heart Foundation, Jasmine Hospice & Palliative Care, and the Cayman Brac Youth Empowerment Symposium.
“Our employees care deeply about giving back, and Charities of First continues to demonstrate the positive impact we can make together," Pettier added. "Whether supporting health, education, or essential care services, we're proud to stand alongside organisations that are helping build a stronger Cayman.”
