RCIPS Announces District Community Meetings for 2026
Police/Court
26 May 2026, 05:11 AM

Commissioner of Police Kurt Walton begins another series of district community meetings across the Cayman Islands, starting in Cayman Brac on Monday, 25 May, and continuing throughout all districts over the coming weeks.

These meetings provide a space for residents to engage directly with Commissioner Walton and members of the RCIPS senior command team on matters affecting their communities. The meetings are intended to encourage open dialogue between the police and the public and allow residents to raise concerns, ask questions, and receive updates relating to public safety, crime prevention, traffic concerns, community policing initiatives, and other issues impacting the welfare of residents and visitors.

“Our aim is to ensure that residents feel heard, informed, and confident that their concerns are helping to shape policing priorities within their communities,” Commissioner of Police Kurt Walton said.

The first meeting will be held at the Aston Rutty Centre in Cayman Brac, starting at 7:00PM. Commissioner Walton, along with Sister Islands Commander Inspector Laing-Hall, will be present to hear concerns from residents and discuss current public safety matters affecting the Sister Islands.

The meetings will then continue in Little Cayman on Tuesday, 26 May, starting at 6:30PM, at the Public Works Department.

The RCIPS encourages all residents to attend the meetings and take part in the discussions aimed at strengthening partnerships between the police and the communities they serve.

A full schedule of the District Community Meetings, including dates, times, and locations, is available on the posters accompanying this release.
