As the oldest service club in the Cayman Islands, Rotary Club of Grand Cayman has served the community for more than 60 years since being chartered by Rotary International on 8 November 1965.
Over the decades, the club has led and supported transformative initiatives locally and across the wider Caribbean region, including the construction of the Bonaventure Boys Home and Frances Bodden Girls Home, establishing Meals on Wheels in the Cayman Islands, youth and educational programmes, medical and dental initiatives, and contributions to Rotary International’s global PolioPlus campaign.
The club is recognised for longstanding community events and traditions, including Batabano Carnival, the annual Boxing Day Lunch for Senior Citizens, and the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Heroes’ Square.
Rotary Club of Grand Cayman has also demonstrated significant leadership across Rotary District 7020, producing seven District Governors and earning numerous district and international recognitions throughout its history. Today, with approximately 100 members representing a broad cross-section of Cayman’s professional and business community, the club continues to foster fellowship, ethical leadership and meaningful service.
