The Cayman Islands Fire Service (CIFS) collaborated with the Cayman Islands Motorcycle Riders Association (CIMRA) for the annual Christmas Toys 4 Tots Donation Drive on Sunday, 19 December 2021.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions on mass gatherings, this year’s event took the form of a Road Show across Grand Cayman from North Side, to East End Park, Savannah Park, Windsor Park, Washington Boulevard Park, and ending at the Cayman Turtle Centre in West Bay. Santa and his helpers were on hand to give out presents alongside CIFS officers from each district. Snacks and refreshments were also distributed to the children and families.

“We look forward every year to treating the kids from the various communities we serve. In an effort to keep everyone safe, we did not host our annual Kids’ Christmas Party at the Airport Park this year. Instead we decided to visit the various communities to spread Christmas cheer and drop off the presents. Our Officers also provided masks if needed, and sanitisers for persons before entry and gift collections”, said CIFS Division Manager Randy Rankin.

Speaking to CIMRA motivation for working alongside the CIFS, Head of the Cayman Islands Motorcycle Riders Association, Mr. Keith Keller, added: “We enjoy partnering with the CIFS on this initiative annually. In fact, it is at the core of who we are. COVID has affected many of our families across our communities, now more than ever and we have to support those around us.”
