The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce hosted a vibrant ‘Business After Hours’ networking event on May 8 at Beyond Basics Medical, located on the third floor of the Tomlinson Building on Smith Road. Around 100 guests attended the evening, enjoying refreshments, giveaways, and a firsthand look at the clinic’s advanced aesthetic services.
Founder and proprietor Ms. Jacqui Tomlinson-Smith welcomed guests warmly, offering insight into the clinic’s journey. From opening in 2007 with just two rooms at CTMH, Beyond Basics has grown into a state-of-the-art facility offering a wide range of non-surgical cosmetic treatments. Ms. Tomlinson-Smith, Cayman’s first certified laser operator in aesthetics, shared how her passion for innovation and client care helped shape the business.
“Beyond Basics Medical has always been about enhancing lives through advanced, personalized care,” said Ms. Tomlinson-Smith. “We’re proud to offer services that meet the diverse needs of our community.”
The clinic’s evolution includes the introduction of micropigmentation for breast reconstruction patients, laser hair removal, and skin rejuvenation. In 2009, Ms. Tomlinson-Smith’s daughter Christina J. Smith joined the team, bringing HydraFacial MD and Image Skincare to the island for the first time. The clinic expanded again in 2010 to accommodate its growing client base.
Chamber President-Elect Cristina Spratt praised the clinic’s impact: “For over 18 years, Beyond Basics has led the way in laser treatments, skincare, and body therapies, setting a high bar for quality and innovation in the Cayman Islands.”
Guests enjoyed wine, rum punch, and nibbles while exploring services only available at Beyond Basics, like EMFACE, EMSCULPT NEO, EMSELLA, SkinPen Elite Microneedling, and an Aqua massage machine. Exclusive event-only specials, door prizes, and a $100 shopping credit added to the excitement—perfectly timed for Mother’s Day, Carnival, and Graduation gifting.
The event also supported a meaningful cause. In memory of Leiba Baptiste, a dear friend of the clinic, Beyond Basics partnered with the Breast Cancer Foundation, donating $5 for
every $100 spent during the evening.
The Chamber thanks Beyond Basics Medical for hosting a memorable evening and all attendees for their support.
