CABINET OF THE CAYMAN ISLANDS POST MEETING SUMMARY

A meeting of the Cabinet was convened on Wednesday, 25th February 2026 in the Cabinet Conference Room, 

Government Administration Building.

The Hon Gary Rutty acted for the Hon Premier; The Hon Johany Ebanks acted for the Deputy Premier and
The Hon G Wayne Panton, Parliamentary Secretary acted for the Hon Minister for Financial Services and
Commerce. All other Ministers and Members of Cabinet were present.

At this meeting Cabinet:

a) Confirmed approval granted by circulation on 24th February 2026, in accordance with Section 7(2)
of the Public Transport Act, 2024, for additional nighttime taxi permits;

b) Confirmed approval granted by circulation on 24th February 2026, for the Airports Authority
(Amendment and Validation) Bill, 2026 to be tabled in Parliament;

c) Approved the remuneration rates for the Public Transport Appeals Tribunal;

d) Approved the leasing of additional office premises at Anderson Square for the Office of the Auditor
General;

e) Approved in accordance with section 10 of the Governor (Vesting of Lands) Act (2005 Revision)
the vesting of Crown seabed and a report to be tabled in Parliament; 

f) Reviewed and noted the Cayman Islands National Museum Annual Report for the year ended 31st
December, 2024 and authorised the Honourable Minister for Youth, Sports, Culture and Heritage to
table the Annual Report in the Parliament;

g) Approved the Special Economic Zone Authority (Fees)(Amendment) Regulations, 2026; and 

h) Noted the Professional Standards for Health Practitioners in the Cayman Islands.
