Cayman Airways Limited has appointed AirlinePros International as its representative in Brazil, expanding a global partnership that already includes the UK, Canada, and Panama. The appointment reflects a strategic focus on promoting convenient access to the Cayman Islands and strengthening the airline's commercial presence in Brazil, one of Latin America's fastest-growing outbound travel markets.

Expanding Market Access

Under the agreement, AirlinePros International will lead commercial representation, sales development, and trade engagement across Brazil. The firm will serve as the primary contact for travel agencies, tour operators, corporate travel buyers, and group specialists nationwide.

The appointment follows Cayman Airways' entry into the Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) in Brazil, a significant milestone that enables full ticketing and settlement for Brazilian travel agencies through Global Distribution Systems. This development makes it easier for Brazilian travelers to book trips to the Cayman Islands via Cayman Airways.

The move also marks a notable development in the Brazilian market, with AirlinePros becoming the first firm to represent an offline carrier following recent regulatory improvements in Brazil.

Comprehensive Trade Support

As Cayman Airways' representative in Brazil, AirlinePros will drive brand visibility and market growth, delivering support across distribution, pricing and fare access, groups and MICE servicing, trade education, and co-operative marketing.

AirlinePros Brazil will coordinate trade outreach across Brazil's key cities, host sales workshops and product trainings, and run joint campaigns to highlight the Cayman Islands' appeal, including world-class beaches, exceptional diving, culinary experiences, and boutique hospitality.

"This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for Cayman Airways in Brazil," said Altamiro Medici, Regional Managing Partner of AirlinePros Brazil. "Brazil's travel trade is sophisticated and opportunity-rich. Our mission is to make Cayman Airways easy to sell - simplifying access in Portuguese, accelerating group and series quotes, and partnering closely with agencies to convert demand into bookings."

Rebecca Meadows, Regional Managing Partner of AirlinePros Brazil, emphasized practical support for agencies. "Our focus is on practical support that helps agencies close more sales. That means clear fare availability in the GDS, seamless BSP settlement, responsive helpdesk service, and targeted training that turns product knowledge into revenue," Meadows said. "Together with Cayman Airways, we intend to build sustainable growth across leisure, premium FIT, corporate, and niche segments such as diving and soft luxury."

Long-Standing Partnership

AirlinePros has represented Cayman Airways in Canada since 2017 and has since expanded its role to include Panama and the UK. Most recently, the team represented the airline at Expo Turismo in Panama, engaging with tour operators, travel agencies, MICE planners, and corporate buyers interested in travel to the Cayman Islands via Panama.

Paul Tibbetts, Executive Vice President for Commercial Affairs and Chief Financial Officer of Cayman Airways, welcomed the expansion. "We are pleased to further strengthen our partnership with AirlinePros as we expand our reach in the Brazilian market. As Cayman's national airline, Cayman Airways is proud to represent the spirit, culture and hospitality of our islands," Tibbetts said. "We look forward to welcoming more Brazilian travellers to experience our beautiful islands, and the warmth that defines both our destination and our airline."

Agencies in Brazil can ticket Cayman Airways through major GDS platforms. For group assistance, group quotes, or trade support, Brazil agents can email AirlinePros at CaymanAirways.BR@airlinepros.net
