On Saturday, 15 November, officers in Cayman Brac received a report of an incident at a food truck. It was reported that a man had gotten into an argument with a staff member there, when he made threats and brandished what appeared to be a firearm.
The police responded immediately with a tactical and strategic approach, and conducted enquiries. As a result, a man, age 40 residing in Cayman Brac, was arrested by Cayman Brac police officers the following day, on suspicion of several offenses.
He was subsequently charged with Possession of an Imitation Firearm, Threats to Kill, Causing Fear or Provocation of Violence, and Harassment Alarm and Distress. He made an initial court appearance on 18 November, and was remanded pending a further appearance today, 27 November.
