Cayman First Celebrates Five-Year Partnership with YMCA Youth Baseball & Softball

George Town, Grand Cayman (7 July 2026): Cayman First Insurance Company Limited (“Cayman First”) recently celebrated the impact of its five-year partnership with the YMCA of the Cayman Islands Youth Baseball & Softball Programme, a CI$75,000 investment that has helped hundreds of young athletes develop valuable life skills both on and off the field.

To mark the milestone and fulfillment of its five-year commitment, Cayman First hosted a community activation at the Field of Dreams, with complimentary snow cones, giveaways, a special 20% discount on motor insurance for attendees and the presentation of the culminating CI$15,000 installment of the sponsorship. Cayman First’s Provider Relations Manager – Group Insurance Services, Drew Osborne, also threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Cayman First team’s game to kick off the celebrations.

The YMCA Youth Baseball & Softball Programme provides children with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the sport while developing important values that extend far beyond the game itself.

“Investing in young people and creating opportunities for them to grow and succeed has long been an important part of Cayman First’s commitment to the community,” said Natasha Pettier, Chief Executive Officer of Cayman First. “As I step into my new role as CEO, seeing the programme in action firsthand only reinforced the importance of partnerships like this. Over the past five years, we have been proud to support an initiative that encourages healthy, active lifestyles while helping young people build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and resilience and creating a lasting positive impact for so many Cayman families.”

Bill Souza, YMCA’s Youth Baseball & Softball Programme Director, said the partnership has played an important role in the programme’s continued growth and success.

“Cayman First’s commitment over the past five years has played an important role in the growth of our programme and the opportunities we can provide to young people,” said Souza. “Their investment has helped hundreds of players to participate in baseball and softball, develop important life skills, and build lasting friendships. We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and the difference it has made in our community.”

The partnership reflects Cayman First’s broader commitment to supporting initiatives that promote youth development, health, and well-being across the Cayman Islands.

“As an insurer, we are here to help people protect what matters most,” Pettier added. “That commitment extends beyond our products and services. We believe in supporting programmes that strengthen communities and help young people reach their full potential. We are proud of what this partnership has achieved over the past five years and look forward to seeing the programme continue to inspire and develop future generations of athletes.”
