04 September 2025, 05:17 AM

The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the relaunch of its Business Excellence Awards (BEA) as part of the organisation’s 60th anniversary celebrations. Initially introduced in 2017, the awards programme recognises outstanding achievements and corporate social responsibility among Chamber members.

The 2025 relaunch brings a fresh digital presence, a streamlined nomination process, and a signature black-tie gala event scheduled for Saturday, 15 November 2025, at the Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa.

“This is more than just an awards ceremony,” said Wil Pineau, CEO of the Chamber. “It’s a celebration of the innovation, resilience, and community spirit that define our members. We’re thrilled to bring back the Business Excellence Awards in a way that reflects the growth and transformation of Cayman’s business landscape.”

A new website — www.businessexcellenceawards.ky— has been launched to support the programme. The site outlines award categories, submission criteria, and key deadlines, and provides a user-friendly portal for nominations.

Now Accepting Nominations

Chamber members in good standing are encouraged to nominate their businesses — or others — for recognition across ten categories:

  • Business of the Year
  • Small Business of the Year
  • Community Impact
  • Commitment to Youth Education
  • Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Marketing Campaign of the Year
  • Best ESG Project
  • Training Champion
  • Innovation Award

Nominees will be evaluated on innovation, leadership, measurable impact, and community involvement. Entries should include key accomplishments, testimonials, and supporting materials that demonstrate excellence in their field. A panel of internal and external judges will review all submissions.

Honouring the Legacy of Excellence

The BEA programme builds on a tradition of recognising local trailblazers. Previous recipients of the Chamber’s Lifetime Achievement Award include Founding Member Cardinal DaCosta and Past President Keith Parker Tibbetts Jr., both honoured for their significant contributions to the Cayman Islands’ business community.

The 2025 gala is expected to be one of the year’s premier business events, offering networking opportunities, media exposure, and formal recognition for leaders who are shaping the future of Cayman.
