Cayman Islands Fire Service Responds to Structure Fire - 6 January

At approximately 8:17 PM on Monday, January 6, 2025, officers from the Central Fire Station responded to a reported structure fire. Fire crews arrived on the scene at approximately 8:24 PM and immediately began suppression efforts. The fire was successfully extinguished at approximately 10:57 PM.

There were no injuries to civilians or personnel reported during the incident. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and further inquiries are ongoing.

“I would like to applaud the responding officers for their safe and swift management of the incident that took place last evening. We are still investigating the cause at this time”, said Chief Fire Officer D. Randy Rankin.
