Mourant Senior Associate, Zachary Hoskin, has qualified as a trust and estate practitioner (TEP), obtaining full membership with STEP.

Zachary, who is part of the firm's Cayman Islands litigation practice, recently qualified as a Full Member of STEP through the Society's essay route. This is one of the foremost recognised qualifications in the trust and private client industry and demonstrates a practitioner's level of expertise in this area. To be eligible to complete the qualification by this route, a practitioner must have a recognised professional qualification and at least five years' industry experience. Zachary completed all three essays with Distinction.

Mourant partner and head of Litigation in the Cayman Islands, Hector Robinson QC, said: "We're really proud of Zachary for achieving his full STEP membership, which is a clear demonstration of his ambition to grow in his career and dedication to his area of law. Mourant is committed to delivering unrivalled client service, and one of the ways that we do this is by providing our people with the tools and opportunities to achieve their career ambitions with us."

Zachary said: "Mourant encourages ongoing education and professional development and has been very supportive of my desire to pursue further knowledge and qualifications in an area of the law that is of particular interest to me. Full STEP membership (TEP) is an internationally recognised qualification that acknowledges industry experience and competence. It is a qualification that Mourant really values. I am pleased to have completed these studies and am very grateful to Mourant for the support and encouragement it has provided throughout."

Zachary has a broad civil and commercial litigation practice, with particular experience in professional negligence, trusts and financial services litigation, and 'fair value' appraisal proceedings. He also has experience advising on regulatory issues, including regulatory investigations and on matters of compliance generally. Zachary previously obtained an Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes through STEP, also with Distinction.
