The CayMusicA Music at the Library events that take place each month at the George Town Public Library are continuing with ‘An Evening of Jazz’ event scheduled for Thursday, 30 October at 6:00 pm.

CayMusicA, the not-for-profit organisation that supports music and the arts in the community, organises these events to enable musicians to perform for residents and visitors.

Marius Gaina, Director of CayMusicA, said, “As the George Town Library is home to our Shigeru Kawai grand piano, it is the perfect location to invite world-class musicians alongside our exceptional local talent to perform.  The library is an intimate and acoustically refined setting, and we are grateful to the Cayman Islands Public Library Service for allowing us to make this special place the permanent home of our piano and our concert series.”

Glen Inanga, Artistic Director of CayMusicA, said, “It is critical that no one is left behind. We believe music has the power to uplift and bring joy to people, and we are keen to create events that enable everyone to attend.  We even did something recently on World Mental Health Day with Autism Cayman at the University College of the Cayman Islands, which really opened our eyes to what wonderful concerts can take place and what CayMusicA can do to facilitate them.”

Next week’s evening of jazz will feature several performers, including multi-instrumentalist Beneil Miller, Cuban pianist Marlon Cortes, as well as musicians Jonathan McDonald, and Kharim Samuels & Core.

Attendees of Thursday evening’s concert can also enjoy a special promotion at Casanova’s By the Sea restaurant after the show and receive 20% off the regular menu prices.

Music at the Library events are also planned for each month up to June 2026, and CayMusicA’s Cayman Arts Festival, the annual series of events, will run from 4 to 14 February 2026.
