Police/Court
20 January 2026, 04:49 AM

Just before 7:00PM on Saturday, 17 January, officers responded to a report of assault and property damage at a residence in the vicinity of Sound Way. The suspect in the matter had left the location prior to the arrival of police.

Officers later observed a white Nissan Skyline in the area, being driven by the suspect. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle using emergency lights and sirens, but the driver refused to pull over. The suspect drove recklessly through Central George Town to evade capture while police monitored the vehicle from a safe distance.

The suspect eventually lost control of the vehicle on the Esterley Tibbetts Highway, and the vehicle collided with a light pole and overturned. The driver abandoned the car and fled on foot. Despite an extensive search, he remains at large. The vehicle has been recovered as evidence.

The incident is being investigated by the police, and anyone with information is encouraged to call the George Town Police Station. Anonymous tips can be provided directly to the RCIPS via our Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777, or via our website.
