The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce’s popular Business After Hours series lit up the Marriott Hotel on June 12 as hundreds of members and guests gathered to celebrate a major milestone: the 25th anniversary of Corporate Electric, one of Cayman’s most trusted and innovative infrastructure service providers.

The event, hosted by Corporate Electric, was a vibrant evening of networking, celebration, and community spirit. Attendees enjoyed a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, complete with a raffle featuring gift cards for luxurious local experiences at top hotels and restaurants.

Chamber President Omari Corbin opened the evening with a heartfelt tribute to Corporate Electric’s legacy of excellence and innovation.

“Tonight, we’re not just networking—we’re celebrating,” Corbin said. “We’re honoring a company that has been lighting the way—quite literally—for 25 years. Corporate Electric has grown from a small Caymanian-owned operation into one of the most respected names in electrical contracting and infrastructure solutions in the Cayman Islands.”

Founded in 2000, Corporate Electric has become synonymous with reliability, technical excellence, and forward-thinking solutions. Their motto—Design. Build. Service.—is more than a tagline; it’s a philosophy that guides every project, from residential fixes to large-scale commercial installations.

“Corporate Electric is not just an electrical contractor—they are a full-service infrastructure partner,” Corbin noted. “They’ve helped keep Cayman connected, protected, and powered with services ranging from IT and structured cabling to generator systems, fire suppression, and even EV charging technology.”

The company’s commitment to innovation was on full display at the event, with live demos showcasing their cutting-edge offerings like Emporia Pro EV Chargers and PowerSmart load management systems. Guests also learned about their Residential Airflow Volume Testing and Balancing service—designed to optimize comfort and energy efficiency in Cayman’s tropical climate.

Managing Director Dave Johnston, who has been at the helm of Corporate Electric since 2009, took the stage to thank the company’s loyal customers, dedicated team, and valued business associates.

“We’re proud to have played a role in powering Cayman’s growth over the past 25 years,” he said.

Johnston also acknowledged the presence of several close business associates - key partner in Corporate Electric’s hurricane preparedness services. As the official distributor of KOHLER and Rehlko generators and a certified service dealer for GENERAC, Corporate Electric plays a vital role in keeping homes and businesses running during storm season.

The evening was also a celebration of community impact. Corporate Electric has long been a Chamber Champion, supporting initiatives such as workforce development, youth mentorship, and environmental sustainability.

“Beyond their technical expertise and award-winning service, Corporate Electric has been a steadfast supporter of the Chamber’s mission,” Corbin said. “From economic forums to Junior Achievement, they’ve shown up—not just with sponsorships, but with heart.”

The night concluded with a lively raffle, where lucky winners walked away with gift cards for great local experiences and APC UPSs. But the real prize was the sense of camaraderie and inspiration that filled the room—a testament to the power of community and the enduring impact of businesses like Corporate Electric.

As glasses were raised and connections made, one thing was clear: Corporate Electric’s legacy is not just about powering buildings—it’s about powering progress, purpose, and people, and building a future-ready Cayman.
