COVID-19 Update 30 June 2021

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 512 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Tuesday, 29 June, 2021. There were no positive results.

To date, 93,525 COVID-19 vaccinations have been given in total in the Cayman Islands. Of these, 48,418 (68% of an estimated 71,100) had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and approximately 63% have completed the two-dose course.

The percentages of those having had their first vaccination dose are equally spread between males and females across those vaccinated and the age breakdown is as follows:

Ages 12 – 18 32%

Ages 18 – 30 68%

Ages 30 – 40 75%

Ages 40 – 50 82%

Ages 50 – 60 85%

Ages 60+ 88%
