COVID-19 Update 4 May 2021

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 231 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Monday, 4 April 2021. All were negative.

The total number of COVID-19 vaccines administered to date is 68,459.

So far, 36,709 (56% of the estimated population of 65,000) have received at least one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, with 49% having completed the two-dose course. 70% of those people eligible (over the age of 16 years) have had at least one dose.

Public Health urges members of the community who have not yet been vaccinated to do so before 9 June 2021 to meet the expiration date of the last scheduled delivery of vaccines.
