COVID-19 Update 6 October 2021

As of 9am Wednesday, 6 October there have been 772 PCR tests processed since the last report on Tuesday, 5 October.

Of these, there is one new positive test in a traveller and nine in members of the community. Among the community cases are eight students, including one from Red Bay Primary School and the others are from John Gray and Clifton Hunter High Schools.

To date, there have been 108,231 COVID-19 vaccinations given in total in the Cayman Islands. Of these, 55,433 (78% of 71,106) have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 52,632 (74%) have completed the two dose course. Additionally, 166 (0%) have had a third or booster dose.
