The Department of Education Services (DES) has expressed its concern regarding an incident involving students and staff of the Clifton Hunter High School which occurred on Thursday (3 September) in the afternoon.

"The health and safety of our students and staff are at the forefront of our operations, and we are committed to maintaining a safe and harmonious school environment. Students, staff and other adults that interact with our students are all expected to relate to each other in a respectful manner.” stated DES Director Mr. Mark Ray.

The school has launched an internal investigation into the incident and will implement the prescribed protocols for addressing the identified issues.

Mr. Ray continued, “We will provide the Clifton Hunter High School students and staff with the requisite support to appropriately address the allegations, and work to prevent a reoccurrence of any similar situation.”
