Enterprise Cayman is excited to announce the addition of programming courses as part of its Cisco Networking Academy offerings. With a growing demand for coding and development skills across all industries, these new courses aim to equip Caymanians and residents with foundational skills in Python and JavaScript programming.

Beginning June 2025, students, working professionals, and tech enthusiasts alike can register for four self-paced programming courses. With no deadline to enrol, participants can begin at their convenience and gain practical, accredited, career-focused skills to help them advance or transition into the tech industry. Courses are open to Caymanians and residents of all backgrounds, with no prerequisites, age restrictions, or prior experience required.

“Programming skills are in high demand, with coding now a critical asset across countless career paths,” said Alyssa Manderson, Programme Manager at Enterprise Cayman. “By expanding our Cisco Networking Academy offerings to include programming, we’re equipping our community with in-demand skills and unlocking access to high-growth opportunities in the global digital economy. I encourage anyone curious about coding – whether you’re a student, professional, or career-switcher – to explore these courses and take that first step.”

Course offerings include:

Designed for maximum accessibility, each course offers hands-on experience with real-world programming concepts and supports participants in building skills that are highly valued by employers in the Cayman Islands and abroad. Once enrolled, participants will be invited to take part in hands-on workshops, skills development training sessions, community hackathons, and the CyberSandbox computer science club. “Cayman Enterprise City (CEC) is home to over 400 special economic zone companies and a growing community of builders at all stages. By combining online training and in-person experiences through Enterprise Cayman programming at CEC’s Signal House, participants can learn, build their professional portfolios, grow their networks, and discover new career opportunities in emerging tech sectors in the zone,” said Deajra Tulloch, Marketing & Events Coordinator at CEC.
