Fatal Collision on Shedden Road, 7 March

Shortly before 2:00AM, 7 March, officers responded to a report of a serious collision on Shedden Road in the vicinity of Vibert Bodden Drive (formerly Artco Drive).A motorcycle travelling eastbound and Mercedes SUV travelling westbound had collided and the rider of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries. Emergency services attended the scene and the rider of the motorcycle, a man age 28 of George Town, was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital, where he was then pronounced dead. The driver of the Mercedes was uninjured.

The matter is currently under investigation.
