Four Arrested for Drug Offenses

Shortly before 2:40PM , 4 May, officers responded to reports of persons congregating and consuming drugs at an address off Eastern Avenue. Officers observed four persons at the location, and detected the strong scent of ganja. A search of the persons was conducted under the Misuse of Drugs Law, and 23 small packets of suspected ganja, along with a ganja cigarette, were recovered. As a result, all four persons: a woman, age 23 of Bodden Town, and three men, ages 29, 23, and 22 of George Town, were arrested on suspicion of consumption of ganja, possession of ganja, and possession of ganja with intent to supply.

All four have been granted bail as investigations continue.
