George Town Man Formally Charged with Firearm Related Offences, 7 June

UPDATE

Following his arrest on Wednesday 1 June, a George Town man, age 30, has been charged with possession of an unlicenced firearm and Possession of an Unclicenced Firearm (Ammunition).

He is expected to appear before the court on today, Tuesday 7 June.

RCIPS Civilian Staff Member Arrested, 2 June

Yesterday, Wednesday 1 June, a 30 year old man employed with the RCIPS in a civilian support role was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation.

Following the arrest, during the course of a search of the man’s residence, a firearm and ammunition was recovered. The man and a women found at the residence during the search have been detained at Cayman Islands Detention Centre as investigations continue.
