On Saturday, 8 August, just after 5:20PM, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a business on North Sound Road in George Town, just south of the Butterfield roundabout.
According to reports, a masked man entered the store, brandishing what appeared to be a handgun, and demanded cash from the employee. He fled the scene in a vehicle with a pouch containing an undisclosed sum of money. Fortunately, no shots were fired and no one was injured.
Following inquiries, officers located a vehicle on Whitman Seymour Drive matching the description of the one used in the suspect’s escape.
The suspect is described as tall and slim, wearing black pants, a hoodie, and a mask.
This incident is currently under investigation by the George Town Criminal Investigations Department (CID). Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 949-4222.
