Members of Parliament (MPs) during proceedings on Monday, 12 December 2022 debated, voted on and approved the second reading of the following 13 Bills:

  1. Gambling (Amendment) Bill, 2022;
  2. Identification Register Bill, 2022;
  3. Cayman Islands Identification Card Bill, 2022;
  4. Music and Dancing (Control) (Amendment) Bill, 2022;
  5. National Roads Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2022;
  6. Utility Regulation and Competition (Amendment) Bill, 2022;
  7. Customs and Border Control (Amendment) Bill, 2022;
  8. Supplementary Appropriation (January 2020 to December 2020) Bill, 2022;
  9. Supplementary Appropriation (January 2021 to December 2021) Bill, 2022;
  10. Criminal Justice (Offenders Assisting Investigations and Prosecutions) Bill, 2022;
  11. Contempt of Court Bill, 2022;
  12. Penal Code (Amendment) Bill, 2022; and
  13. Anti-Corruption (Amendment) Bill, 2022.

MPs further voted, on a motion from the Premier, Hon. Wayne Panton, to refer the Gambling (Amendment) Bill, 2022 for further review to a Select Committee of the whole House.

The other 12 bills, except the one referred to the Select Committee are now on the way to the Committee stage before they receive their third readings.

The House adjourned to return at 10 am on Wednesday, 14 December.
