HBCU alumni, local residents, visitors, and lovers of R&B music are invited to experience one of the Cayman Islands’ most anticipated summer entertainment weekends as HBCU Alumni & I Love R&B Weekend returns from Thursday, July 23 through Saturday, July 25. The three-day celebration will feature a series of upscale events designed to bring together alumni, professionals, music lovers, and the local community through exceptional entertainment, premium venues, and the warm hospitality that defines the Cayman Islands.
“This weekend is about bringing people together,” said the event organizers. “Whether you’re an HBCU graduate, an R&B fan, or simply looking for an unforgettable weekend, we’ve created experiences that celebrate music, culture, friendship, and the beauty of Caymankind.” HBCU Alumni Welcome Party Thursday, July 23 Bliss Lounge | 9:00 PM – 2:00 AM The weekend officially begins at Bliss Lounge with the HBCU Alumni Welcome Party. Guests will enjoy an energetic evening hosted by Poet Lynae Vanee and AJ Andrews of MLB Network, with music curated by DJ Shizm from Tampa’s 106.5 The Beat. Beachside Mix & Mingle Friday, July 24 Bonny Moon Beach Club | 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Friday begins with a relaxing Beachside Mix & Mingle at Bonny Moon Beach Club. Guests can network, reconnect, and enjoy great music, food, cocktails, and stunning beachfront views in a casual yet sophisticated atmosphere. Admission is free.
Sunset R&B Rodeo Friday, July 24 The Wharf Restaurant | 9:00 PM – 2:00 AM Friday night transforms into an unforgettable waterfront celebration at The Wharf Restaurant with the Sunset R&B Rodeo. Music will be provided by DJ Demp, DJ La Luna, DJ Teek La Freak, and DJ Craig, delivering an exciting blend of R&B, Soca, Reggae, and party favorites throughout the evening.
