The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Cayman Islands is proud to announce that the Health Services Authority (HSA) has come on board as a Silver Level Sponsor for the Foundation’s annual Gala for the next five years. This significant and ongoing commitment reinforces the strong, united front in the fight against breast cancer and reflects a shared mission to support awareness, early detection, treatment, and survivorship within the Cayman community.

The HSA’s long-standing dedication to improving healthcare outcomes across the Islands makes this partnership a natural and deeply meaningful collaboration. The Breast Cancer Foundation and HSA have worked cohesively for years, particularly through support for screening programs, patient care, and survivor wellness. This five-year sponsorship strengthens that relationship and allows the Foundation to expand its vital work in education, early detection, and support services.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome HSA as a long-term Silver Sponsor,” said Beverly Edgington of the Breast Cancer Foundation. “Their continued support helps us provide life-saving programs and reach more people across the Cayman Islands. Together, we are stronger and more effective in our shared goal of reducing the impact of breast cancer in our community.”

HSA Acting Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director, Dr. Delroy Jefferson echoed the importance of this partnership, saying: “At HSA, we believe in a holistic approach to health, and supporting the Breast Cancer Foundation aligns perfectly with our values. This sponsorship reflects our commitment not just to treatment, but to prevention, awareness, and survivorship.”

Dr. Lundie Richards, HSA Consultant Haematologist-Oncologist, added: “The Foundation plays a crucial role in supporting patients both emotionally and practically. Our collaboration ensures that our patients receive the comprehensive care they need-from diagnosis through recovery and beyond.”

The annual Gala, one of the most anticipated charity events in the Cayman Islands, serves as a major fundraiser for the Foundation, enabling it to run essential programs like the Early Detection Program, Awareness and Wellness initiatives, Stepping Strong, and Survivorship support. The Foundation is grateful for HSA’s generous commitment and looks forward to continuing to make a difference-together.
