IMAC Elects 2026 Executive Committee

The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) announced its newly elected 2026 Executive Committee during their Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on December 11, 2025. The committee comprises of a mix of new and returning members who will lead the organisation’s strategic priorities in the year ahead.

 

James Trundle from GCM was elected as the new IMAC Chair, succeeding Kieran Mehigan, and will be supported by the following officers in their newly appointed roles:

 

  • Michael Wild, Artex – Vice Chair
  • Adam Vanicek, Marsh – Treasurer
  • Joy Domingo, WTW – Assistant Secretary

 

IMAC also announced the formation of a new Talent Development Committee, reflecting the Association’s continued focus on workforce development and succession planning within the industry. Troy Matarazzo from Beecher Carlson will serve as Chair of this new Committee.

 

The following executive committee members will continue in their roles:

 

  • Gareth van den Bergh, Artex – Marketing Committee Chair
  • Michael Wild, Artex – Forum Committee Chair
  • Jessica Powell, Aon – Scholarship Committee Chair
  • Paul Macey, USA Risk – Legislative & Regulatory Committee Chair
  • Andrew MacKay, RMA – Education and Social Committee Chair
  • Erin Brosnihan, Kensington – Secretary
  • Jenny Pooley, SRS – IMAC Office

 

Reflecting on the year ahead, IMAC Chair James Trundle said, “It is a privilege to serve as Chair of IMAC at a time of continued momentum for Cayman’s insurance industry. Building on the strong foundation laid by the previous Executive Committee led by Kieran, we will remain focused on collaboration, talent development, and global engagement to support the long-term growth and success of our sector.”

 

Since its establishment in 1994, IMAC has played a pivotal role in representing insurance managers, captive insurance companies and service providers, acting as a key link between industry, government and regulators in the Cayman Islands. Through advocacy, education and international outreach, IMAC continues to strengthen Cayman’s position as a leading domicile for captive insurance worldwide.
