JTC and JTC Special Situations are pleased to announce their support for the Fair Weather Foundation in the Cayman Islands.
Representatives from JTC recently presented a sponsorship cheque to the Fair Weather Foundation in support of its work to restore and return the S.V. Fair Weather, the last Caymanian-built schooner still afloat, back to the Cayman Islands.
The vessel holds a special place in the islands’ heritage and is a celebrated example of the traditional sailboat featured on the Cayman Islands’ 25-cent coin.
The restoration project is helping to preserve an important part of Caymanian maritime history while also creating meaningful opportunities for the local community. As part of the initiative, the Foundation is supporting the training of Caymanian apprentices and providing educational resources to local schoolchildren, helping to connect younger generations with the islands’ maritime traditions.
Nicole Eggleton, Director, JTC said:
“We are proud to support the Fair Weather Foundation across JTC Cayman and JTC Special Situations. This project is a remarkable initiative that not only preserves an important part of Cayman’s heritage but also creates lasting educational and development opportunities for the local community.”
This sponsorship reflects JTC’s continued commitment to supporting community-focused initiatives that preserve local heritage, promote education and create positive long-term impact.
