Licensing Officer Swai Forero Honored with Chief Officer’s Choice DG Award for April 2025

The Ministry of Planning, Lands, Agriculture, Housing & Infrastructure (PLAHI) is proud to announce that Mr. Swai Forero, a Licensing Officer at the Department of Vehicle & Drivers’ Licensing (DVDL), has been selected as the Chief Officer’s Choice (COC) DG Award recipient for April 2025.

Mr. Forero was recognized under the strategic civil service goal of "Demonstrating Excellence in Governance Practices." This distinction highlights his unwavering commitment to professionalism, integrity, and delivering high-quality service to the public. His consistent dedication to operational excellence and a people-first approach continues to elevate the standard of customer service at DVDL.

The award presentation took place at the DVDL Crewe Road location and was officiated by Chief Officer Eric Bush and DVDL Director David Dixon, who praised Mr. Forero’s work ethic and integrity.

Chief Officer Bush commended Mr. Forero.  "Swai exemplifies what it means to serve with purpose and pride. His efforts contribute directly to building public trust and ensuring government services operate with transparency and accountability."

The Chief Officer’s Choice Award is part of the Cayman Islands Government’s recognition program and includes a certificate signed by both the Deputy Governor and Chief Officer, as well as a $350 monetary award.

The Ministry extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Forero on this well-deserved honor and thanks him for his continued service to the people of the Cayman Islands.
