The Little Cayman Agriculture Show, held on Saturday, April 27,2024, marked the successful culmination of a series of agricultural shows organized throughout the Cayman Islands in 2024. These events were designed to promote local agriculture, educate the public, and support the food security agenda of the Cayman Islands.

"We, at the Ministry of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport and Development, take immense pride in backing the agricultural shows throughout the Cayman Islands. These events not only highlight the remarkable skills and dedication of our local farmers, but also underscore their achievements and capacity to enhance local production."

said Honourable Johany Jay Ebanks, MP and Minister of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport and Development.

The 2024 Little Cayman Agriculture Show highlighted the diversity of local agriculture, including: fruits, vegetables, livestock, flowers and various agricultural products that contribute to the Caymanian economy. The show served as a platform for education and outreach and Agribusiness, enabling farmers and artisans to sell their produce and products. Similarly, it provided the public with an opportunity to provide feedback on ongoing work relating to policy and planning in agriculture.

The successful Agriculture Shows for 2024 emphasize the government's commitment to food security and supporting local farmers. The exhibitions have sparked important conversations among citizens about the need for sustainable agriculture, commuity involvement and continued government support to increase productivity in the local agriculture sector.

The Ministry of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport and Development (PAHITD) wishes to thank all stakeholders who have made these three agriculture shows a success. Additionally, the Ministry expresses gratitude for their constant support in the continued execution of The Cayman Islands Food and Nutrition Security Policy. The Ministry remains dedicated to advancing sustainable agricultural practices and equipping Caymanians with the tools and knowledge to lead the agriculture industry towards a prosperous future.
