Man Arrested Following a Drug Operation After Cocaine was Recovered

At approximately 7:30 AM on Friday, 29 August, police executed a search warrant at an address on Kennedy Drive in George Town. During the police operation, the officers recovered a quantity of a substance believed to be cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia.

 

A 37-year-old man from George Town was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to supply, and consumption of cocaine. He remained in custody while the investigation progressed. Items of jewellery suspected of being stolen were also recovered as evidence during the search, and the man was subsequently arrested separately in relation to this matter and later bailed as that investigation progressed.

 

On Saturday, 30 August, the man was formally charged with Possession with Intent to Supply (Cocaine), Possession of Utensil used in the Consumption of Drugs and Failing to Provide a Specimen of Urine for Analysis. He remains in custody for the drug-related offences and is expected to appear in court on Monday, 1st September, 2025
