Man Arrested in Relation To Multiple Burglaries in George Town

The police have arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of multiple burglaries in George Town on Tuesday, 24 March.

 

Shortly before 2:00AM on Tuesday, officers responded to a report of a burglary at a business establishment on Main Street, where it was reported that a man had gained entry by breaking a glass door and stole a sum of cash and a hair clipper.

 

When officers arrived, they observed broken glass and a concrete block inside the premises. CCTV footage was later reviewed, which assisted in identifying the suspect.

Later that day, the police responded to two other reports of burglary in the area.

 

The man was later located and taken into custody. He is being investigated in connection with these incidents and other burglary incidents in George Town.

 

Police are encouraging anyone who witnessed or may have information in relation to these incidents, to share it directly with the police.
