Minor Incident at JGHS-No Injuries Sustained

The Department of Education Services (DES) advises that at approximately 8:00am Wednesday morning, a minor motor vehicle incident occurred in the John Gray High School parking lot, involving an educator and a student.

Reports indicate that the educator was driving on to the school’s campus when a student, on a bicycle, entered into the path of the motor vehicle.

Although the educator took quick evasive action, there was contact with the bicycle, resulting in the student falling to the ground.

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded promptly and neither the student or the educator sustained any injuries as a result of the incident.

The Department thanks the EMS team for their swift response and urges students and motorists to remain vigilant and exercise an abundance of caution, particularly in and around school zones.
