This past weekend, police made a concerted effort to locate and arrest a wanted man, who was the subject of multiple reports of violent crimes, threats to kill and cause serious harm. The man was believed to be dangerous, and his behaviour was believed to have been escalating and a danger to the public.
The man was seen on Sunday, 21 September, driving a blue Honda Fit in the Prospect area of George Town. He refused to stop for the police, and due to his violent history, the police carried out a coordinated effort to apprehend the wanted man, utilising the various units available on duty.
The man abandoned his car and fled into nearby bushes, where he was surrounded by Air Support, Firearms Unit & K9 searched until he was found.
As a result, the man, age 35, of East End, was located and arrested in the Prospect area of George Town, and his vehicle was seized as evidence. He remains in custody pending further investigations.
