Police: Increase in stolen vehicles
Police/Court
01 August 2025, 06:45 PM

Since the start of July, the RCIPS has seen a noticeable rise in reports of stolen vehicles, with 18 cases reported throughout the month, including several attempted thefts. In connection with these incidents, a male juvenile in Bodden Town has been arrested for handling stolen goods after being found with parts from one of the stolen vehicles. He has been released on bail as investigations continue.

The majority of these incidents have occurred in George Town, but West Bay and Bodden Town have also been affected. Most thefts have taken place overnight, and several vehicles targeted were left unsecured. In other instances, thieves gained access using different methods.

Many of the affected vehicles have been cars, particularly Honda models from the late 1990s and early 2000s. While a number of vehicles have been recovered, several are still missing.

RCIPS Safety Reminders:

Always secure your vehicle when unattended.

Park in well-lit, non-secluded areas.

Consider installing CCTV or other security devices.

The RCIPS asks the public to remain alert for the outstanding stolen vehicles listed below. If you see any of these vehicles or have information regarding their whereabouts, please contact 9-1-1 immediately.
