Police Investigate a Serious Sexual Assault Incident at HMCIPS Northward

Just after 12:45PM on Monday 27 June, police responded to a report of serious sexual assault against an adult inmate by another adult inmate at HMCIPS, Northward Prison.

The offending inmate, age 46, has been arrested in relation to the incident and will remain in the custody of the HMCIPS with special measures being taken to safeguard the victim.

The incident is being investigated by the RCIPS Criminal Investigations Unit.
