Police/Court
27 October 2025, 05:18 AM

Shortly after 9:30PM on Saturday, 25 October, officers responded to a report of a collision on Sea View Road, in the vicinity of Welcome Way, East End, involving a Honda Fit and a pedestrian. EMS attended the location and the pedestrian was transported to hospital where she is being treated for what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the collision, the driver of the vehicle was approached by members of the public who were at a nearby bar, who damaged the vehicle and assaulted the driver. She was escorted to safety by other members of the public until the arrival of police, who subsequently assisted her from the location. She then attended hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and was also breath-tested with a negative result.

The matter is currently under investigation and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision and subsequent assault, to contact the Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220.

“There is no place for these types of actions in our community. We do not tolerate members of the public attacking and assaulting others,” says Detective Superintendent Peter Lansdown. “This matter will be investigated thoroughly and persons involved prosecuted. Likewise, the circumstances of the collision are being investigated, and any offenses found will be prosecuted, according to the law.”
