Shortly after 11:15 AM, on Friday, 12 December, officers responded to a report of a collision on Shedden Road, at the intersection with Elgin Avenue, where a pedestrian was struck by a Honda Inspire. The pedestrian received minor injuries, was transported to the Anthony Eden Hospital for treatment and subsequently discharged. The driver of the vehicle was prosecuted for driving with expired registration.
Shortly before 12:10 PM the same day, officers responded to a report of a collision on West Bay Road, just north of Lawrence Boulevard, where two pedestrians were struck by a Chevrolet Cavalier. The pedestrians, both juveniles, were transported to the Anthony Eden Hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. Both pedestrians were treated at the Anthony Eden Hospital. One was discharged on the day of the incident, and the other has since been discharged following treatment. The driver of the vehicle was breath-tested with a negative result.
Both collisions are under investigation by the Traffic & Roads Policing Unit.
